Goals - Circa 1988

It's funny how the goals you have in your life change with each passing year.  Thinking back, all I can ever remember wanting to do is the following 6 things.
  1. Be a successful business woman.
  2. Make LOTS of money.
  3. Meet a handsome man and marry him.
  4. Have two children and two dogs.
  5. Live in a huge house with a big yard and a swimming pool.
  6. Live happily ever after.
Sounds easy enough, right?

Let's take a look at the progress:

     1.  Be a successful business woman.
    • Complete!  It's best to do the easy one first.

     2.  Make LOTS of money.
    • Um... working on this one.  Let's call it 50% complete.  Though, my 7-year-old self would have thought I have LOADS of money.
     3.  Meet a handsome man and marry him.
    • Not even close on this one.  I've met many of handsome men, none which I've married.

     4.  Have two children and two dogs.

    • 25% complete.  One pooch down, one to go.  Oh, and the two kiddos.
     5.  Live in a huge house with a big yard and a swimming pool.
    • Does an 1100 square foot apartment count as "huge."  I didn't think so.  At least I have access to a swimming pool!
     6.  Live happily ever after.
    •  In progress.  Living happily, day after day.

    Day 364 - Snow Day

The snow finally stopped falling sometime last night, leaving everything covered in a foot of snow.

School-aged children and teachers everywhere rejoiced as schools were closed for a Snow Day!
Did you know, if you wear your pajamas inside out, that you'll have a snow day the next day?

I'm also told that flushing ice cubes down your toilet will guarantee a day off.

    Think I'll try that tonight.
